Fun Hutch with collection of Tea Cups and Roosters Adorning the top for Seasonal Decorating.
Opted for Blue Glass Pulls instead of wooden
pulls that came with cabinet.
One side has Trompe L'oiel Bird House with Crackle accents over Grapevine. With the other having Nest & Butterflies.
This matching Dining Hutch was purchased unfinshed (Raw Wood) and painted in the same fun "Bird & Nest" motif as the Dining table. I used several colors and applied Crackle finish in certain spots for interest, with aging glaze wash for making a complete Dining set.
You really are a talented artist. Thanks for your comments. I've seen the shows slow down some, but sometimes it does during this time of the year. Hope you have a great 4th!!
Thanks Theresa, The comments are greatly appreciated. I always expect the summer to be a bit slower...so I try to catch up and play in my studio and get inspired. So of course the Blog world has helped in many ways. I do hope that sites and posts like yours will encourage others to network or help encourage others to stay in the field. We all benefit at the end. Have a festive and cool 4th as well.
This was so much fun...I'm glad you liked it Lidy. That's why I enjoy painting...new or old, you can personalize it. Enjoyed your Blog as well, Hope you had a great Holiday weekend.
My Studio transforms walls, painting murals, cabinetry & furniture and uses found objects in refreshing ways for decor, lighting or jewelry.
Working in the Texas Hill Country ranging from re-models to Custom Parade Homes since 1990.
Currently restoring Religious Statues for a Texas Cathedral...as well as commissioned for private portraits.
Remodeling our 1900 Victorian home and grounds.
Won't hesitate to stop by a curb and pick up that tossed out piece of furniture and give it a new coat of paint or personality!
